Cut them in half. If your mushrooms are large, cut them into quarters. Do not make thin slices.
Take the mushrooms in a mixing bowl, add the oil, pepper, salt, onion and garlic powder. Toss to combine and coat.
Put the spicy mushrooms in the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 375 degrees Fahreheit and set the timer for 8 to 10 minutes. In the middle of air frying, gently toss the mushrooms with a wooden or silicone spatula.
Serve hot with optional garnishes sprinkled on top and with your choice of dip, spread, or sauce. Fun !

STORAGE
Air-fried Mushrooms are best when served immediately after they are made. Serve hot or at room temperature. But if you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
REHEATING
Reheat the mushrooms in an air fryer at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 5 minutes or until fully heated through. You can also microwave this in 30-second intervals until warmed up.
Air Fryer temperatures and cooking times vary greatly between different brands. If your fryer tends to burn food quickly, choose a lower temperature.
