Baked Cauliflower Bites
Baked cauliflower bites are a quick and delicious starter you can make in minutes! Lightly battered in flour and topped with sesame seeds, this might be the non-greasy snack you’ve been looking for. Better than takeaways, fresh, delicious, and extra crunchy, you’ll love these snacks, oh they’re vegan too.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cauliflower florets bite size
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 3 tablespoons of rice flour
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder
- salt to taste
- oil to grease the pan and a few drops for cooking
- 2 teaspoons of black cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons sesame

Instructions
- First, prepare your cauliflower. Cut them into bite-sized florets. Bring a large pot of salt to boil. Add the cauliflower florets and boil for 5 minutes. Strain and set aside
- Preheat your oven to 180 C/ 350 F. Combine flour, turmeric powder, salt, chili powder and garam masala powder in a small bowl.
- Also add carom seeds and rice flour.
- Gradually add water and make a thick paste.
- Dip each blanched cauliflower florets into the dough and place on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with nigella and sesame seeds.
- Bake in the hot oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy. You can turn the inflorescences after 10-12 minutes to ensure full cooking.
- Serve cooked cauliflower bites with a pinch of raw onion, chopped coriander leaves, and some fresh lemon or lime juice.
notes
- You can double the recipe or cut it in half.
- You can use broccoli instead of cauliflower.
