For the cake:

  • 225g (8oz) almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp aquafaba (the water from a can of chickpeas)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Red food colouring



For the marzipan:

  • 200g (7oz) ground almonds
  • 100g (3.5oz) icing sugar
  • 100g (3.5oz) caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • Yellow food colouring
