Crispy Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Air fryer Brussels sprouts are a very crunchy, beautifully caramelized miniature cabbage dish that even those who haven’t loved Brussels sprouts before can appreciate. Yum!
The Airfryer helps to cook very crispy Brussels sprouts with the minimum amount of olive oil. When done, place the air fryer Brussel sprouts on a serving platter, immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese to melt and drizzle with Balsamic glaze and lemon juice for a brighter taste. Wow, what a delicious taste!
Ingredients
- 1 kilo Brussels sprouts
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon of preferred seasoning. I used lemon spice. And some Trader Joe’s Barbecue Coffee garlic. Yum!
- 2 tablespoons of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste
- 1 teaspoon of balsamic glaze to drizzle over. Learn how to make homemade balsamic glaze (reduce).
Instructions
- Wash the Brussels sprouts and separate them from any dirty or bad leaves. Cut each piece in half lengthwise.
- Do not cut the core (because the core keeps the leaves in place) If you cut the core, Brussels sprouts may drop leaves.
- In a large bowl, combine pieces of Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and seasonings. mix it all well
- Heat the air fryer to 400F/200C for 2 minutes
- Transfer the miniature cabbage to the fryer pan or basket and place them all one side up, leaving space. air fry for 5 minutes
- Turn on the fryer and turn each piece of brussels sprouts to the other side. Air fry for another 5 minutes or until well browned and crispy.
- Transfer to serving platter and mix with Vegan cheese, lemon zest and Balsamic glaze. Enjoy!
