A&P Spanish Bar Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 cup granulated sugar

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• ½ teaspoon allspice

• 1 cup raisins (optional but traditional)

• ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

• 1 cup applesauce

• ½ cup vegetable oil

• 2 eggs

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Frosting (Cream Cheese Frosting)

• 225 g cream cheese, softened

• 4 tablespoons butter, softened

• 2 cups powdered sugar

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
