Instructions Cook the pasta: Boil stellini in salted water until al dente. Drain and stir in butter while pasta is still hot. Season with a little salt and pepper. Optionally stir in ½ cup mozzarella and some milk/cream for richness. (Optional) Prepare the meat sauce: Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté onions and garlic. Add minced meat and cook until browned. Stir in tomato puree, salt, pepper, paprika. Simmer for 10–15 minutes. Assemble the dish: In a baking dish, layer half of the buttery stellini. Add a layer of meat sauce (if using). Sprinkle mozzarella (and parmesan if using). Repeat the layers, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top. Bake: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until golden and bubbly on top. Serve: Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm — optionally with fresh basil or a side salad.
