Ingredients
- 4 Cups Cooked Organic Garbanzo Beans
- 2 cloves of peeled garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. Tahini Sauce
- 2-3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves
- 1 jalapeno pepper, cut and remove seeds
- 1/4 cup water, add if needed for smoother mixing
Equipment Used
- High Speed Blender
- Instantpost in case you want to cook chickpeas from scratch
Instructions
- In a blender, add the garlic, cooked chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini sauce, cilantro, and seeds of jalapeno chips and salt. Add a little water and mix it smoothly.
- When you see the mixture starting to form a paste, turn the mixer to pulse. While the blender is on the pulse setting, slowly pour the olive oil through its mouth. Adds an extra fluffy and creamy texture.
- Change the setting to blend and continue until the mixture is creamy and well blended. Hummus is ready to serve.
- Adding olive oil while blending adds extra creaminess, so you can almost skip the tahini sauce if it’s not readily available. Your creamy, velvety, delicious hummus is ready!
- You can serve it with pita bread, pita bread, bread, crackers, toast, sliced baguette, celery and fresh vegetables.
- It can also be used as a salad dressing in Buddha Bowls. You can make cucumber hummus sushi by spreading the hummus over cucumber slices.

How to Cook Dry Chickpeas in an Instant Pot
- Soak the dried chickpeas for several hours and then pressure cook them on the BEAN setting in the InstantPot.
- Use enough water to completely cover the beans. Use the BEAN setting and let it cook automatically.
- If you want to use the MANUAL or PRESSURE COOKING buttons, select 12-15 minutes for soaked beans or 25-30 minutes for dry-washed beans.
- After cooking, let it cool completely. Then freeze them in separate serving sizes. In fact, it’s like using canned chickpeas when you need them, but MUCH BETTER.
- Instant Pot cooks these dried beans perfectly smooth and soft!!
