Carne Asada Con Chile Verde



Ingredients:

For the Carne Asada:

  • 2 pounds flank or skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the Chile Verde:

  • 1 pound green tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 2-3 poblano peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
