Keto Southern Hamburger Steaks with Onion Mushroom Gravy recipe
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish



Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and shape into 4-6 hamburger patties.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the hamburger patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced onions and mushrooms to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by half.
  5. Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Return the hamburger patties to the skillet and let them simmer in the gravy for a few minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
