Instructions:
Prepare the cake and make sure it is completely cooled before assembling the dessert.
Cut the cake into bite-sized pieces. Prepare the pudding mix. On a trifle plate (or a large salad bowl), crumble into bite-sized pieces, using half the cake for the first layer. On top of the cake pieces, add half the pudding, half the bananas, half the strawberries, half the pineapple, half the Cool Whip, half the Maraschino cherries, half the chocolate syrup and half the hazelnuts. Repeat all these steps in the same order with the remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
*Note: When assembling mine, I don’t let the pudding fully harden before assembling because I want it to work before it settles well between the cake pieces.
